Vice Admiral Phanich
Eddie Phanichkul, native of San Diego, CA, originally joined The Plastic Revolution for their 2012 Summer Tour to promote The Plastic Revolution’s second album, Postmodern Medicine, and also because Jake Skolnick promised him booze and women in France–there was none. Eddie had played in numerous bands since a teenager put his awesome hipster beer bar in the capable hands of his trusty employees and jumped at the opportunity to tour as a bass player with a “successful,” and “awesome” band.
Normally a singer/songwriter, Eddie finds catharsis in playing one note at a time with The Plastic Revolution.
Eddie, now an official member of TPR, has been working on their third studio album, writing new songs, working on his comic ihearteddie.com, and killing time with his shady business dealings (Eco ReBox, a high tech, green tech, reusable shipping box company). He has recently sold his bar The Foundry in the popular, hipster neighborhood of North Park, and gave up all of his worldly possessions to start a nonprofit called The Rockstar Foundation, www.rockstarfoundation.org — which promotes music programs to underprivileged children and young adults.
